For the next month or so, it's just Izzy and me! Micah is gone for some training. Thankfully we are still able to talk, or at least text message, often. I was a little worried about how this month would go, being a "single" mom. God has been so good, and Izzy is being great!! For the last 2 days she has actually napped in her crib. This has been extremely helpful because it allows me to get some house work done. Normally I am able to get a lot done once Micah gets home from work and takes over Izzy-duty. :) I definitely am missing my other half!

Typhoon Kompasu
Here is little Miss Izzy hanging out after her bath, all comfy and cozy....
The dogs are just chillin', not too happy that they can't go outside.
Izzy's trying to find her thumb....
Bored of being stuck in the house already :)
Micah taking advantage of all the time he has to learn more about spearfishing.
So..when Ninja and Apache start rough housing, every once in a while Apache gets a little scared and tries to run away from Ninja. Usually he hides under the couch, but every so often he will hid under the pack 'n' play. This time we actually got a picture of it.
Here he is peaking his head out to see where Ninja is.
My sweet girl sleeping her life away. :)
The clouds looked pretty cool the night before the typhoon hit.
The next day we were all quite bored. Poor Izzy was subject to a photoshoot by mom!
I wanted a good picture of Micah and me both smiling. Of course, I got the many faces he makes...this is the best one...
The nasty skies on Tuesday. When I took this picture the typhoon was on top of the island.
Thank goodness for season 2 of Prison Break. I think Micah and I watched probably about 10 episodes or so...
Thankfully the typhoon was not bad at all. Like I said, we did get a lot of rain and pretty good winds come through. However, not much was destroyed. There were just some branches in the roads around our house. The worst thing I saw was the metal thing you put your shopping carts in on Camp Schwab was messed up...thankfully that was it!

The last 7 months....
Wow! It was been quite a while since we have written anything! As most of you know, a lot has happened since last Christmas. We found out in December that we were pregnant with our first baby. In April, we found out it was a little girl! Needless to say, both of us were very surprised as we had completely expected it to be a boy. We slowly got used to buying pink, and now we would not have it any other way!
This is our first family picture!!
A good friend of ours and one of the doctors I work with was able to deliver Izzy! We were so thankful for that!
Here is Izzy waiting for Dad to get back to the hospital so we could all go home!
I promise to be better about updating this more often! I'm sure we will have tons of pictures to come of little Izzy! Thank you for all of your prayers for us as we adjust to the wonderful life of parenthood!

Christmas Lights
They had dancers there that put on a show. It looked and sounded more like a Hawaiian theme.
This is Owen and Olivia. I work with their mom and we have become good friends with this family. As hard as it is being away from family at the holidays, they sure help!!
The Japanese always to the peace sign in all their pictures. Every once in a while, we Americans copy them. This is the King family, Bill, Karen, Owen, and Olivia.

Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving this year, we invited over a bunch of people since this was first Thanksgiving we have been able to do. We bought a 17lb turkey and a deep fryer, along with a lot of other food, and thought we were set. The fryer ran off of propane and we had recently refilled the propane tank for the grill, so we thought we had everything we needed. Micah put together the deep fryer the day before. On Thanksgiving pretty much everyone was over that was coming so Micah went outside to hook up the propane and get the oil ready to put the turkey in. He comes in about 20 minutes later and says that we have a problem. We were out of propane! We had forgotten to turn it off the last time we grilled. He ran onto base to see if something was open, but of course it wasn't. He got home and we decided to cook it on our gas powered stove. So, against everyone's advice....we deep fried our turkey INSIDE! We ended up cooking on a much lower temp than the directions said to, and for longer, but it turned out B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!
The guys were very happy with the outcome! And this was our feast....I had a lot of help from the guys! I really appreciate it and could not have done it without them!
